About Us
I
have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. As I child, I
shared a special bond with my first puppy, a scraggly little poodle mix
named Susie. Since then, I have had many pets and had a long stint as
assistant manager of a Petco in Los Angeles. I have also became heavily
involved with rockhounding and working with semiprecious stones. Over
time, it seemed only natural that I combine my two favorite hobbies,
pets and stones, and began to make dog collars studded with
semiprecious stones and rhinestones.
From
the first, I have
had the hardest working product testers known to man. My 4 legged
friends Sesame Pooch, shown above, and Goober Cat work tirelessly day
and night to test all products that I make. Sesame is a rare
breed of dog called a Jindo dog (or Chindo dog depending on the
translation). Another common color for jindos,
other than white like Sesame, is reddish tan like a shiba inu and rarely they are seen in other
colors as well.
I adopted Sesame at 2 years of age from a dog pound in
Los Angeles California. Los Angeles has a large population of
Koreans, many of whom consider jindos to be a prized jewel from their
own land where jindo dogs are famous and much loved.
Unfortunately, jindos, like any dog, can also be a lot of work, more
work than some are ready for, and so it's not uncommon to find jindos
in Los Angeles and southern California that need new homes.
Jindos are one of a number of breeds that are what is called primitive
breeds. That means they are a very old breed created mostly by
nature instead of by any organized breeding program. As such,
they tend to be healthy strong intelligent dogs of medium size and
build who are good hunters. I think they also look really
cute in blinged out collars!
The pooch and the kitty have received so many
compliments on their fashion that they finally convinced me to
make my creations available to others. At Star Studded
pets, our goal is always to satisfy. Return customers are our bread and
butter and so we strive to help you enjoy our products as much as we
have.
